Friday, September 26 was a busy day at Hermann Park Stables and Sam Houston Equestrian Center. Everyone was buzzing with stories about how they survived Hurricane Ike. Students were thankful that the barn suffered no damage. A few students who lived near the shores of Galveston Bay did return to damaged homes. Our sympathy goes out to them.

Today, Saturday, saw the return to normal classes and we expect most riders to be returning to their regularly scheduled times now that lights are on in the majority of the city. Be aware that driving may take a little longer due to four way stops. The weather could not be better! Finally some cooler days for riding.

Anyone needing make-up times for lessons missed during the storm should contact us by email. We are having make-ups tomorrow, Sunday, September 28. We will have another make-up weekend next week October 4th and 5th. Remember that prepaid lessons cannot be forwarded into a new month. Prices have changed too starting October 1st.
